The Yamaha C40 is one of our most popular classical guitars. Its full size make it the perfect instrument for the adult or older student or even for those who find the 'folk acoustic' models a little to cumbersome.

Although the instrument is more expensive that similar instruments from Jose Ferrer or Valencia the renowned Yamaha quality really does shine through.

Yamaha have used top quality, sturdy and resilient materials throughout, from the Spruce top through to the Meranti back and sides and the Nato neck.

It has a nicely finished Rosewood finger board with 18 nickel frets. All the hardware on the guitar is finished in chrome for longevity and a very professional appearance. We have sold numerous examples both domestically but also in large numbers to schools and music services who all report that they last well and sound good. It would be worth considering a padded bag as an additional purchase, not only would this make the instrument far easier to carry but it would afford the guitar some protection too. See our 'recommended accessories' column on this web page for some suggestions.
