Chester Zoo has announced a new partnership with educational resource supplier Findel to bring conservation-focused content to classrooms across the UK.
Through the partnership, Chester Zoo will provide conservation toolkits and sustainability-focused resources for Findel's education platform, EuHu.
The content is designed specifically for classroom use and focuses on animals, the natural world sustainability, supporting Chester Zoo's mission to extend its educational outreach to teachers and students.
The resources from Chester Zoo will be available free of charge to educators and are scheduled to go live on the EuHu platform in September 2025.
Chester Zoo is one of the UK's leading conservation zoos, dedicated to preventing extinction through conservation breeding programmes, field conservation projects and inspiring the next generation to take action to help wildlife flourish and grow.
Commenting on the partnership, Chester Zoo's digital learning partner, Lauren Walker, said: “Education has always been at the heart of Chester Zoo’s mission to help wildlife thrive and this partnership with Findel allows us to bring that mission directly into more classrooms across the UK.
“By making our conservation toolkits and sustainability resources available on EuHu, we hope to reach more teachers with powerful tools to inspire young people to protect the natural world.
“These resources will spark curiosity, encourage action and ultimately help create a generation of conservationists who are passionate about safeguarding wildlife for the future.”
Pronounced 'yoo-hoo' and short for Educator Hub, EuHu is Findel's free-to-use and subscription-based platform, with all the content created by teachers regarded as experts in their fields.
Findel’s chief executive, Chris Mahady, said: “Environmental education and conservation awareness are more important than ever and it is fantastic to partner with Chester Zoo to bring its expertise directly into classrooms.
"By making Chester Zoo's conservation toolkits available through EuHu, teachers can access to high-quality, engaging resources that will inspire young people to care about wildlife and take action for our planet's future.
"This partnership perfectly aligns with our mission to support educators with the best resources and we look forward to working with Chester Zoo to make a meaningful impact on environmental education."
