A microscope eyepiece micrometer is ideal for anyone wishing to take a measurement from an object that is being viewed under a microscope. This eyepiece is compatible with the Optika B292PLi Binocular Microscope. To fit, simply remove the original eyepiece from your microscope, which sometimes involves the loosening of a small screw on the eyepiece tube, and replace with the eyepiece containing the micrometer. The eyepieces can be changed back if measurements are no longer required.
Suitable for use with the following microscope:
- Optika B-292PLi Binocular microscope - B8R05565
- Allows one set of microscopes to be used right across the Key Stages, if required.
- GCSE Biology: Introduction to measurement of cells
- A-Level Biology: Measurement of cells (within the Cells topic)
- Practical Skills: Using a microscope, using an eyepiece micrometer
- There may be a small holding screw on the eyepiece tube which may need to be loosened slightly to remove the original eyepiece. This can be done using an Allen key or small screwdriver, depending on your microscope.
