Designed with the upper KS1 and KS2 pupils in mind, the Magformers® Math 42 Set includes pieces with the degree of their internal angles written on each corner. Since the four types of regular polygons have their angles marked, children can learn about regular polygon features and go on to explore and understand tessellations. Children can also grasp a variety of mathematic and geometric concepts, making simple 3D shapes from 2D ‘flat’ nets. The set comes with 14 specific activity cards included.

• 20 triangles, 6 rectangles, 12 pentagons, 4 hexagons

• Internal angles in each piece clearly marked (ie 108 degrees in a regular pentagon)

• Add up angles when pieces are combined

• Make numerous solid geometric 3D shapes of 2D nets

• Create and combine shapes to make and compare different 3D geometric shapes

• Use to measure the perimeter of 2D shapes

• Identify the properties of shapes, number of sides, edges, vertices and faces etc
