These terms and conditions of sale shall be deemed to be incorporated in the contract between the Company and the customer. They apply only to UK customers tel: 08451 20 20 55. Export customers (including Channel Islands and BFPO's) please see page 4 of our International Catalogue.

1. PRICES
Prices quoted supersede all previous prices. We aim to hold all prices fixed (E&OE) until 31st December, but exceptionally volatile raw material costs may effect a few products this year. You will be advised of any increase prior to despatch.

2. VALUE ADDED TAX
VAT at the appropriate rate will be added to all prices where applicable including carriage and packing charges (LEA schools please note that your Education Authority will credit you with the whole of the tax paid on receipt of the appropriate forms).

3. PAYMENT
(i) Where credit is given payment for goods supplied is due within 30 days of the invoice date.

(ii) Hope Education reserve the right to charge statutory interest in line with the provisions of the late payment of commercial debts (interest) act 1998.

4. NEW CUSTOMERS AND NON ACCOUNT HOLDERS
Goods can be supplied on a cash/cheque with order basis, against a proforma invoice or through major credit, debit and charge cards. Credit can only be given to approved account holders.

5. CARRIAGE AND DELIVERY (UK CUSTOMERS)
(i) All orders will be delivered FREE of charge providing the order value is £250 or more (exc. VAT). Some large furniture items may attract an additional delivery charge.

(ii) Orders under £250 (exc. Vat) will carry a delivery of £6.95 for carriage and packing.

(ii) Where delivery is required urgently, we have an express service. The charge for carriage and packing will be £9.95 (plus VAT) irrespective of order size.

6. EXPRESS DELIVERY
Your order will be processed immediately upon receipt and despatched the same day by 48 hour delivery service. This service is strictly subject to stock availability. Please call 08451 20 20 55 before 11.00am and specify that you require the HOPE EXPRESS service (UK Mainland only). (We regret that furniture and large items cannot be despatched by express service).

7. DIRECT DISPATCH
Please note that certain items may come from the manufacturer and may take longer to despatch. Some items are also manufactured at the point of order and can take 4 ? 6 weeks for delivery. In both instances such items will be identified throughout the catalogue.

8. AVAILABILITY OF STOCK
If an item ordered is out of stock, we will inform you and endeavour to supply the item as soon as possible. Goods in this catalogue are subject to availability. On occasion goods will be discontinued for reasons beyond our control. We reserve the right to withdraw an item where a print error has occurred.

9. DESCRIPTION
The Company is continually seeking to improve the quality and value of its goods and services. Whilst we take every care to ensure illustrations and descriptions within the catalogue are accurate and informative, we do reserve the right to change specifications or improve our products. In the event of any substituted product not being acceptable, we will gladly issue a full credit, provided the goods in question are returned within seven days and in an as new re-saleable condition.

10. PROPERTY
Not withstanding delivery of the goods by the Company, property in the goods will not, pass to the Purchaser until the goods have been paid for in full. Hope Education reserves that right to reclaim goods for which payment has not been made.

11. DAMAGED GOODS AND CLAIMS
If upon receipt your goods are damaged, incomplete, incorrect short delivered or an order fails to arrive, notification must be made within ten working days, quoting your account number and the relevant reference number. Claims outside this period may not be accepted. Goods should not be returned without prior authorisation.

12. REFUSED DELIVERIES
We reserve the right to make a carriage charge plus a 20% handling charge, or a minimum £10 whichever is greater, on all consignments that are refused without reason.

13.RETURNS
If for any reason you wish to return a product please contact our Customer Service Department who will advise on the appropriate procedure. Please do not return goods without prior authorisation. Where authorisation is obtained a 20% handling charge, or a minimum £10 whichever is greater will be charged.
